It’s official. Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has called off what was suppose to be his comeback fight versus Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

Mayweather says he was unaware of a potential fight versus Nasukawa, due to him not having agreed to any deal with RIZIN. In fact, Mayweather went as far as to say that he didn’t even know his opponent.

“First and foremost, I want it to be clear that I, Floyd Mayweather, never agreed to an official bout with Tenshin Nasukawa. In fact (with all due respect) I have never heard of him until this recent trip to Japan.”

RIZIN announced the fight on the 3rd of November, as both Mayweather and unbeaten kickboxer Nasukawa attended the press conference. The fight was scheduled to happen at RIZIN 14 on the 31st of December 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. Mayweather last fought in 2017 when he TKO’d UFC’s Conor McGregor in Las Vegas.
